Day 1 (Sunday)
Johannesburg – Private Game Reserve Edeni
We start our 2-week tour at 08h00. After having met our tourguide we travel past the coal-mining town of Witbank to the trout area of Dullstroom, where we will have a short break. We continue via Lydenburg, direction Tzaneen. Arrival at the Private Game Reserve Edeni about lunchtime. After lunch we can relax at the pool.
In the afternoon we will do an approx. 3-hour game drive with a professional ranger and tracker in an open safari vehicle. It is a very exciting feeling to be so close to the game as this is BIG 5 country!
Overnight in the Edeni Private Game Reserve in a luxury bushcamp in Meru tents with inside toilet / shower (separated by a canvas wall). Lights are activated by solar panels. Each of the 14 tents has it's own wooden deck overlooking the Makhutswi river. Full Board + including 2 game drive activities.
Day 2 (Monday)
Edeni Private Game Reserve – Blyde River Canyon – Hazyview
With sunrise you will do another 3-hour game drive, hoping
to see more of the BIG 5 (lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, rhino) or
any of the other many game species. After a sumptuous breakfast we drive
over the Abel Erasmus Pass to the grandiose Blyde River Canyon with its
"Three Rondavels". The canyon is about 800 meters deep and offers an
unforgettable view.
This is part of the Panorama Route. We drive further to
visit the Bourke's Luck Potholes, one of the stranger results of water
erosion, a fantasia of rock shapes and colours. The next stop is God's
Window from where we have an absolute magnificent, unobstructed view to the
"Lowveld" 1000 m beneath us.
We follow the road to the historical mining town of Pilgrim's Rest. After a short walk through the village we carry on to Hazyview.

Day 3 (Tuesday)
Hazyview – Kruger National Park
Early morning we enter the world famous Kruger National Park that has more animal species than any other game park in the world. We hope to spot buffalos, hippos, lions, leopards and cheetahs.

Day 4 (Wednesday)
Krüger National Park – Kingdom of Swaziland
With sunrise we will do another game drive, than leave the Kruger National Park via the Malelane Gate to enter the Kingdom of Swaziland. Swaziland is also known as "Little Switzerland". The road takes us past mountains, through forests and the capital Mbabane into the Ezulwini Valley. Here we will visit a craft market. In the evening we could try our luck in a casino.

Day 5 (Thursday)
Swaziland – Hluhluwe/Umfolozi National Park
Our next stop will be the 96 453 ha large Hluhluwe/Umfolozi Park, which was opened 30th April 1895 and is therefore the oldest game reserve in Africa. We will drive through the beautiful, hilly to mountainous sub-tropical region and look out for rhinos, giraffes, elephants, nyala (antelope), etc.

Day 6 (Friday)
Hluhluwe/Umfolozi National Park – Durban
After an early morning game drive, we leave this game park in order to visit a traditional Zulu village and get to know something about hut building, traditional clothing, the brewing of beer and the family tree. To round off the visit, the people of this village will perform traditional dances. Thereafter we drive through the hilly, subtropical Zululand, passing endless sugarcane plantations. On arrival in Durban we make a sightseeing tour and visit the Indian market.

Day 7 (Saturday)
Durban – Port Elizabeth – Tsitsikamma National Park – Knysna
We depart per plane to Port Elizabeth (flight not included in the price). On arrival we proceed to the Tsitsikamma National Park. Here we do a short walk to the suspension bridge (approx. 45 minutes). We carry on via the Bloukrans Pass and Nature's Valley to Knysna.
Overnight 3x in Knysna in a small hotel or guesthouse. B&B
Day 8 (Sunday)
Garden Route
We travel to "Robberg Nature Reserve" where we hike for about 1 to 3 hours, depending on the fitness of the group. "Robberg" is a peninsula, which is protruding into the ocean. From here we have an exquisite view over the bay of Plettenberg. During the whale season (July to November) an optional boat trip for whale watching can be booked in advance.

Day 9 (Monday)
Garden Route
Today we do a 3-hour excursion to the "Featherbed Nature Reserve". A boat will take us to the reserve and a Unimog vehicle with trailers to the viewpoint on top. We hike on the Bushbuck Trail (about 2.2 km) towards the pick-up point. The boat will take us back to Knysna. Afternoon for leisure. You may want to walk through the town, visit the waterfront or try the famous Knysna oysters.

Day 10 (Tuesday)
Garden Route – Cango Caves – Ostrich Farm – Oudtshoorn
Today we drive to Oudtshoorn, the feather capital of the world. We will drive through Wilderness and George up the Outeniqua Mountain Pass. First we will visit an ostrich farm and thereafter the Cango Caves, where we will have guided tours.

Day 11 (Wednesday)
Oudtshoorn – Swellendam – Cape Town
From Oudtshoorn we travel via the Robinson Pass to Mossel Bay where we stop at the 500-year-old Post Office Tree and at the Diaz Museum. In the olden days seamen used the tree to deposit letters for their folks at home. Those letters would be taken by passing ships to the country of their destination. Our next stop is the historical town of Swellendam. After having passed Sir Lowry's Pass we will soon reach Cape Town.

Day 12 (Thursday)
Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden – Cape Peninsula
Today we visit the Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden, which is considered to be one of the most beautiful Botanical Gardens in the world. We continue via Fishhoek to Simonstown where we visit a penguin colony. Thereafter we drive to Cape Point and "Cape of Good Hope", the most Southwesterly point of Southern Africa. From here we travel along Chapman's Peak Drive with its prominent cliff face on the opposite site of Hout Bay. On our way back to Cape Town, we pass the popular beaches of Camps Bay, Clifton and Sea Point.

Day 13 (Friday)
Table Mountain – Winelands of Stellenbosch and Franschhoek
Weather permitting you will do a cable car trip to the top of Table Mountain (not included in price as weather permitting) from where you have a breathtaking view of "Lions Head", "Signal Hill", the harbour and the City of Cape Town. Thereafter we visit a wine estate near Stellenbosch where we will have a guided cellar tour including wine tasting. We travel to the historical town of Stellenbosch and possibly Franschhoek (if the time permits).

Day 14 (Saturday)
Victoria & Alfred Waterfront – Airport
Today we drive to the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront. Here we will find a flea market, aquarium and a large number of restaurants and shops that cater for all tastes. You might still want to buy the last souvenirs. Thereafter we travel to Bloubergstrand from where we have a panoramic view of Table Mountain, Lions Head and Cape Town with its harbour. The tour ends today at Cape Town airport.
