Prices & conditions (Season 2006)
Prices
NAD 10,580.– (approx. € 1,323.–) per person sharing
with 6 participants
NAD 9,860.– (approx. € 1.233.–) per person sharing
with 4 participants
NAD 11,300.– (approx. € 1,413.–) per person sharing
with 2 participants
NAD 2,650.– (approx. € 331.–) single supplement
The above-mentioned prices are valid until October 31, 2006. The approx. Euro price is based on 1 € = 8.00 NAD. 1 NAD = 8,00 ZAR. Prices for 3, 5, 7 or 8 participants or larger groups on request. In the case of 6 participants the price is slightly higher as a luxury car will have to be used. This or a similar tour (possibly including the Kaokoveld region) could be quoted on request. It may also be undertaken as a guided minibus tour.
Departure

Our prices include:
- 16 x comfortable overnight accommodation at guest houses, guest farms, chalets, hotels, etc.
- 11 x breakfast (no breakfast in National Parks), 3 x dinner
- 17 days car hire
- Mercedes Vito or similar
- Toyota Condor or similar
- Toyota Corolla 1.6 (group B car) or similar
Our prices exclude:
- Water and under-carriage damage to vehicle, Deposit of NAD 1000.00, 2nd driver charge NAD 110.00, contract fee NAD 25.00. These charges have to be paid directly to the car hire company upon take over of vehicle. Traffic fine handling fees, claim handling fees, etc. these would be taken off the initial deposit if applicable.
- flight to and from Namibia
- all entrance fees and costs of excursions
- petrol, oil, toll fees, etc.
- travel insurance, which we strongly recommend
- porterage, tips (usually 10% of bill)
Prices (2005) for optional excursions:
- flight over Swakopmund and Skeleton Coast (approx. 3¼ hours): NAD 2030.00 per person, min. 4 persons
- flight over Sossusvlei and Sesriem Canyon (approx. 40 minutes): NAD 620.00 per person, min. 4 persons
- Any flight requires a min. of 2 people and max. 5 people and is depending on weather conditions. Please enquire regarding further flight excursions.
- hot air balloon safari over Sossusvlei with champagne breakfast: NAD 2500.00 per person incl. champagne breakfast
- half day dolphin / seals cruise including champagne, oysters and snacks & beverages. NAD 370.00 per person
- Sandwich Harbour Combo Tour including morning dolphin cruise and afternoon drive to fresh water lagoon and driving over dunes. Picnic lunch included. NAD 980.00 per person
Terms and conditions
- All bookings have to be done in writing (booking form).
- The contract is based on the descriptions and conditions mentioned in the itinerary and in this price list.
- A deposit of 15 % of the total price has to be paid on date of confirmation of booking, full balance is due 5 weeks before the tour starts.
- Payment in Rand by bank transfer to our account.
- Marlis Travel & Tours and their guides do not accept responsibility for any client in respect of any loss, injury, illness, damage, accident, death, delay or inconvenience during the duration of the trip.
- In the unlikely event of rescue and medical assistance being needed the participants shall be liable for the entire cost.
Cancellation fees
Should the participant cancel the contract, the tour operator may ask for an adequate compensation of administration fees. Our cancellation policy is as follows:
- 15%
- until 30 days before departure
- 30%
- 29–22 days before departure
- 50%
- 21–15 days before departure
- 75%
- 14–11 days before departure
- 100%
- 10–1 days before departure or non-participation
